SAXX Underwear Co. is looking for a Band Operations Manager to join the team based at our Vancouver office location.

THE BRAND OPERATIONS MANAGER…

Be responsible for facilitating the execution of seasonal tactics and campaigns from end to end. This role is focused on building operational infrastructure, improving processes, cross functional communication, and project management that ensures the success of the brand team.

You are a strong brand marketing leader that can work on multiple projects simultaneously and establish new processes while streamlining existing ones. You have a keen sense of ownership while working effectively to drive partnerships cross functionally.

Responsibilities Include:

Department Process Management

      • Provide leadership, support and guidance that ensures the success of the brand and creative functions within the business
      • Develop, share and manage a seasonal brand content calendar that facilitates a coordinated execution through all marketing touch points
      • Monitor, track and actively manage the overall departmental budget and financial forecasts, including monthly reconciliation
      • Align with relevant Product, Operations, eCommerce and Wholesale teams to develop an in-depth knowledge of cross departmental dependencies
      • Communicate project status, risks, and set approval checkpoints to all stakeholders
      • Be a strategic leader by pro-actively identifying problems, seeking solutions, and driving business objectives
      • Develop a culture of continuous improvement by implementing post-mortem processes and go forth action plans

Customer Service Management

      • Support the Project Coordinator in efficiently managing creative resources by setting expectations on workflow, managing bandwidth, prioritizing projects and forecasting resource requirements
      • Support photography production resources in efficiently managing execution of all shoots
      • Oversee creative production and brand planning calendar ensuring team deliverables are being met
      • Build and maintain strong relationships across Product, Ecommerce and Wholesale stakeholders to ensure cross functional resources are available as required
      • Source, negotiate and manage any outsourcing contractors required to achieve creative vision and/or work capacity
      • Manage relationships and timelines with external agencies, producers, and creative partners as required

Go-To-Market Management

    • Own the go-to-market meeting planning schedule, meeting agendas, deliverables, and postmortem process
      • Ensure alignment with key stakeholders across departments
      • Set clear expectations for all participating stakeholders
      • Ensure go-to-market meetings are delivering on business requirements
    • Support the Brand Director and VP of Brand driving seasonal brand initiatives through to channel managers for execution
      • Facilitate the execution of the seasonal campaigns through cross functional channel managers from ideation, asset development and final on-time delivery
Required Qualifications:
  • 7+ years progressive marketing experience, preferably in brand operations for an apparel company
  • Track record developing effective plans and implementing infrastructure to meet challenging objectives for a high growth business
  • Experience leading and working on projects in a multi-function (product, sales and marketing) environment
  • Strong process-driven abilities and a passion for facilitating structure where creatives can produce world class work
  • Experience managing creative projects from briefing through to final execution, including strong project management, time management and cross-functional coordination skills
  • Strong leader and peer influencer
  • Results oriented, with an ability to meet tough deadlines in a project management role
  • Exceptional oral and written communication and presentation skills - you can distill complex topics to their key essence for non-expert audiences
  • Bachelor’s Degree or diploma in Project Management, Marketing or related field considered an asset
  • Solid understanding of project management software including Asana, or similar platforms
  • Proactive and willing to go the extra mile with a strong work ethic; self-directed and resourceful
  • Travel – some travel may be required
